Membership Terms of Service

Welcome to the Pine Tree Broncos ("PTB"). By becoming a member, attending events, participating in online communities, or using our website, you agree to these Membership Terms of Service.

1. Our Mission

Pine Tree Broncos exists to bring together Bronco owners and outdoor enthusiasts who share a passion for exploring Maine, enjoying the outdoors, serving our communities, and building lasting friendships through responsible adventure.

We are committed to creating a family-friendly environment where members of all ages can enjoy the outdoors, learn from one another, and build friendships that last well beyond the trail.

2. Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to individuals who:

• Are at least 18 years of age (or participate under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian).
• Agree to abide by these Terms.
• Respect fellow members.
• Support the mission and values of PTB.

Ownership of a Ford Bronco is encouraged but not required unless specified for certain events.

3. Membership Levels

Membership categories and benefits may change over time.

Current membership options may include:

• Explorer (Free)
• Trail Member
• Founding Member

Membership benefits are non-transferable.

4. Membership Fees

Membership dues:

• Are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Help fund PTB operations, events, insurance, merchandise, and community activities.

5. Member Conduct

Members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on Pine Tree Broncos Club.

Every member agrees to:

• Treat fellow members, guests, volunteers, landowners, and the public with courtesy and respect.
• Help create a family-friendly atmosphere at all club activities.
• Use respectful language and avoid profanity, vulgar, or offensive language at club events where families and children may be present.
• Resolve disagreements calmly and respectfully.
• Respect differing opinions without personal attacks.
• Follow all instructions from event organizers and trail leaders.
• Respect public lands, private property, wildlife, and fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
• Leave trails and campsites cleaner than they were found.
• Promote safe, responsible, and courteous off-road driving.

The following behavior is not permitted:

• Harassment or intimidation
• Threatening behavior
• Excessive profanity or inappropriate language
• Fighting or aggressive conduct
• Illegal activity
• Reckless vehicle operation
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Destruction of property
• Behavior that creates an unsafe or hostile environment

Members are ambassadors for the Club. Whether attending an official event or displaying Pine Tree Broncos Club decals or apparel, members are encouraged to represent the Club with integrity, courtesy, and respect.

Family-Friendly Environment

Pine Tree Broncos Club is intended to be a family-oriented organization.

Members are encouraged to bring spouses, children, relatives, and friends to appropriate club activities.

To help ensure everyone enjoys the experience, members agree to:

• Use language suitable for children.
• Drink responsibly. Excessive alcohol consumption is not appropriate during organized events.
• Never use illegal drugs during club activities.
• Respect the comfort and safety of all participants.
• Be welcoming to first-time attendees and new members.
• Set a positive example for younger members and guests.

Our goal is simple: To create a club where someone feels just as comfortable bringing their eight-year-old child as they do bringing their best friend.

6. Off-Road Responsibility

Members are responsible for:

• Knowing the capabilities of their own vehicle.
• Carrying appropriate recovery equipment.
• Operating within their own skill level.
• Following all posted trail regulations.
• Respecting trail closures and environmental protections.

PTB does not guarantee trail conditions or vehicle safety.

7. Event Participation

Participation in PTB events is voluntary.

Members understand that:

• Off-road driving involves inherent risks.
• Weather conditions can change rapidly.
• Mechanical failures may occur.
• Recovery may not always be immediately available.

Members assume all responsibility for participating.

8. Vehicle Responsibility

Each member is solely responsible for:

• Vehicle maintenance.
• Insurance.
• Registration.
• Fuel.
• Repairs.
• Recovery expenses.
• Towing costs.

PTB does not inspect vehicles or certify their safety.

9. Safety

Safety is our highest priority.

Members agree to:

• Follow trail leaders.
• Wear seat belts.
• Drive responsibly.
• Never operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Respect recovery procedures.
• Help fellow members when safely possible.

10. PTB Communications

Members may receive:

• Event announcements
• Newsletters
• Emergency notifications
• Membership updates

Members may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

11. Photos & Videos

During events, PTB may photograph or record:

• Vehicles
• Members
• Trail rides
• Gatherings

These images may be used for:

• Website
• Social media
• Promotional materials
• Merchandise
• Newsletters

Members who prefer not to appear in promotional material should notify PTB before the event.

12. Intellectual Property

The following are property of Pine Tree Broncos:

• Logos
• Patch designs
• Website content
• PTB artwork
• Merchandise designs
• Written materials

These may not be reproduced without written permission.

13. Membership Suspension

PTB may suspend or terminate membership for:

• Unsafe behavior
• Illegal activity
• Harassment
• Repeated rule violations
• Conduct harmful to PTB or its members

Membership decisions are made at the discretion of PTB leadership.

14. No Warranty

PTB events, websites, maps, trail recommendations, GPS files, and educational content are provided "as is."

PTB makes no guarantees regarding:

• Trail conditions
• Weather
• Vehicle performance
• Navigation accuracy
• Safety
• Availability of events

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pine Tree Broncos, its officers, organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and event leaders shall not be liable for:

• Personal injury
• Death
• Vehicle damage
• Property damage
• Theft
• Lost equipment
• Mechanical failures
• Towing expenses
• Recovery costs
• Financial losses arising from participation in PTB activities.

16. Changes

PTB may update these Terms at any time. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Event Participation & Liability Waiver

Every event registration should also require members to acknowledge the following:

By participating in any Pine Tree Broncos event, I acknowledge and agree that:

• I am voluntarily participating in activities that involve inherent risks, including but not limited to off-road driving, trail riding, camping, recovery operations, and outdoor recreation.
• I am solely responsible for the operation and condition of my vehicle.
• I maintain valid driver's license, registration, and insurance as required by law.
• I accept all risks associated with participation, including vehicle damage, mechanical failure, personal injury, or death.
• I release and hold harmless Pine Tree Broncos, its officers, organizers, volunteers, sponsors, trail leaders, and landowners from any liability arising from my participation.
• I understand that trail leaders and volunteers are not professional guides and are volunteering their time.
• I agree to follow all safety instructions and event rules.
• I certify that I am physically capable of participating in the event.
